Volleyball Recap: Branson Takes a Loss

Branson lost against Republic back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Branson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-12.

Emma Skoglund paced Branson's offense, picking up six kills. Skoglund got some help from Erinn Swofford and her 22 assists.

Branson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Republic, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Branson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Camdenton on the 4th. As for Republic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ozark on the 4th.
