Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Manteo couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Seaforth Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Manteo's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Kenzie Flynn, who's now up to 45 this season.

Manteo's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Seaforth, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2-1.

Manteo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seaforth, they will challenge Franklin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Seaforth 0.3, Franklin Academy 0.4) so any goals scored will be well earned.
