Volleyball Game Preview: Refugio Bobcats vs. Three Rivers Bulldogs

The Refugio Bobcats will challenge the Three Rivers Bulldogs at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Refugio managed to slip by Agua Dulce the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bobcats came up short against the Longhorns on Friday, falling 3-0. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Refugio was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-24.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Cedie Wills, who had 20 digs and six kills. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aiyanna Brown, who had 24 digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Three Rivers lost 3-0 to Freer on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Buckaroos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Three Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Refugio, their loss dropped their record down to 17-17.

Refugio took their victory against Three Rivers in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
