It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wake Prep Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions 65-43. The Guardians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.
Leading Wake Prep Academy to victory were Sylva Okauru and Josh Bracey. Okauru dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Bracey dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. That's the most boards Bracey has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Petersen, who scored eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Wake Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.
Wake Prep Academy will challenge Vance Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vance Charter will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Wake Prep Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Excelsior Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
