Basketball Game Preview: Arkansas City Bulldogs vs. Andover Central Jaguars

Arkansas City hasn't had much luck against Andover Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Arkansas City Bulldogs will take on the Andover Central Jaguars in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m.

Arkansas City is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 72-45 defeat at the hands of South.

Meanwhile, Andover Central hadn't done well against Maize South recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Andover Central secured a 59-53 W over Maize South. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Andover Central had a senior duo take command as Brandt Stupka went 6 for 8 on his way to 17 points and Brody DeGarmo went 5 of 8 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. What's more, Stupka also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in January. Jayden Brown was another key player, putting up ten points.

Andover Central pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Arkansas City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Arkansas City might still be hurting after the 63-40 defeat they got from Andover Central in their previous meeting back in February. Can Arkansas City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
