            Basketball Recap: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Broomfield Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact ThunderRidge can now relate to. They came up short against  the Broomfield Eagles on Saturday, falling  61-36. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Eagles are ranked sixth).
 Broomfield got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Reece Gilpatrick out in front who  shot 46% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to seven  assists and four  steals. Those  seven  assists gave  Gilpatrick a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Olivia Kim, who  went 7-for-9  on her way to 18  points.
ThunderRidge now  has a losing record of 12-13. As for Broomfield, the  victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.
 ThunderRidge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Broomfield,  it'll be a Battle of the Birds when  the Eagles  challenge  the Ravens at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Broomfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3  points per game  this season.
