Basketball Game Preview: Hostos Lincoln Academy Eagles vs. Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy

The Hostos Lincoln Academy Eagles will square off against Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Hostos Lincoln Academy came up short against Bathgate and fell 72-63. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 451st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy took a blow against KIPP NYC College Prep on Tuesday, falling 93-57.

Hostos Lincoln Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
