Recap: St. Agnes Academy Stars vs. Trinity Christian Academy Lions
After losing to the Trinity Christian Academy Lions the last time they met, the St. Agnes Academy Stars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. St. Agnes Academy snuck past Trinity Christian Academy with a 46-42 win on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Agnes Academy.
Trinity Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tori Robinson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Anna Sanders was another key contributor, scoring two points along with eight steals.
St. Agnes Academy pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-6 record last season and are now at 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Agnes Academy will square off against St. Mary's Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Jackson Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Jackson Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian Academy in Tennessee (Jackson Christian is ranked 99th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 284th).
