The Interlake Saints will square off against the Cedarcrest Red Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Interlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Last Friday, Interlake was able to grind out a solid win over Tyee, taking the game 9-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

Eric Wallin looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Sam Haufe was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Interlake is undefeated when Haufe posts three or more hits, but 5-6 otherwise. Alex Diaz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Cedarcrest waltzed into their match on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Pirates. The Red Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Murphy Vliem, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Braden Bottemiller, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Cedarcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highline only posted an OBP of .360.
Cedarcrest pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Interlake, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Interlake has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cedarcrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Interlake came out on top in a nail-biter against Cedarcrest when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
