Volleyball Recap: Lemon Bay Takes a Loss

Lemon Bay saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Marco Island Academy Rays. The Manta Rays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lily Scheiber paced Lemon Bay's offense, picking up six kills. Scheiber got some help from Evelyn Swidrak and her 11 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Sophia Ogdin, who had 11 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Lemon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Marco Island Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Lemon Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Fort Myers on the 4th. As for Marco Island Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Cardinal Mooney on the 4th.
