Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Evan Brown and Jackson Bruce Lead Spring Hill to Victory

Spring Hill hadn't done well against Blue Valley Southwest recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Spring Hill Broncos walked away with a 78-66 victory over the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered a 67-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Spring Hill was led to victory by Jackson Bruce and Evan Brown. Bruce went 8 for 13 en route to 23 points and five boards, while Brown went 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Miller, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points.

Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Baylor Rank, who went 7 for 16 en route to 19 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Wesley Abraham, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Spring Hill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
