Volleyball Recap: Paulding Starts Season with Victory Against Van Wert

Paulding had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Van Wert Cougars 3-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Paulding was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-9.

Estie Pease was nothing short of spectacular: she had ten aces and three digs. Those ten aces gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Schlatter, who had 11 digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Paulding was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Van Wert only served two aces.

Paulding wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Crestview on the 19th. As for Van Wert, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Lincolnview on the 19th.
