Softball Game Preview: Hot Springs Tigers vs. Tularosa Wildcats

Hot Springs is 0-10 against Tularosa since April of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hot Springs is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Hatch Valley, falling 19-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Tularosa unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to Robertson. The Wildcats were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the six contests prior), but the Cardinals' pitchers proved too tough.

Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Tularosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Hot Springs might still be hurting after the 20-5 loss they got from Tularosa in their previous meeting back in April of 2019. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
