The Nimitz Cougars entered their tilt with the Benjamin Davis Falcons with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. The stars were shining brightly for Nimitz in a 62-48 win over Benjamin Davis on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nimitz also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Kymira Houston was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 24 points along with four steals. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. Bre' Azia Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 17 rebounds.
Nimitz is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Benjamin Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
Nimitz will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alief Hastings at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. Benjamin Davis will be home for the holidays to greet Clear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
