Volleyball Recap: Sonora Comes Up Short

Sonora was the 3-2 winner over Brea Olinda when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-19 in the first set.

Sonora actually scored more points across those five sets (105-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Sonora has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. As for Brea Olinda, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Looking ahead, Sonora will challenge Cypress at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brea Olinda, they will take on La Habra at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
