Baseball Game Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Riverside Warriors

Gaffney is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Riverside a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Gaffney Indians will be playing at home against the Riverside Warriors at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, Gaffney came up short against Boiling Springs and fell 5-1.

Gaffney saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Carroll, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverside). They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Greenwood on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Gaffney's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Riverside, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Everything went Gaffney's way against Riverside in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Gaffney made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
