Central Cambria and Penn Cambria pushed the score to 15-4 the last time they played Penn Cambria, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Red Devils skirted past the Panthers 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Aubrey Ruddek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Keira Link, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Central Cambria pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Penn Cambria, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.
