            Softball Recap: Coalfield Yellow Jackets vs. Jellico Blue Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Coalfield had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Jellico on Monday. The Coalfield Yellow Jackets put the hurt on the Jellico Blue Devils with a sharp  15-0 victory. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.
 Ashton Chamblee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Chamblee was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.

 In other batting news,  Caroline Foster was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  RBI.  Baylee Chadwick was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Coalfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jellico only posted  an  OBP of  .100.
Coalfield's record is now 2-0. As for Jellico, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Looking ahead, Coalfield is taking a road trip to  square off against Oneida  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Jellico, they will be playing at home against Sunbright  at 7:05  p.m.  on Tuesday.
