Volleyball Recap: Northwest Texans vs. Rockwall Yellowjackets

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockwall Yellowjackets. The Texans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Jordan Daniell paced Northwest's offense, picking up five kills. Daniell got some help from Tabitha Quella and her ten assists. Quella was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Rockwall was led to victory by Audrey St. Clair and Ashtyn Werth. St. Clair had 16 digs, while Werth had 13 digs. St. Clair is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Rockwall, they moved to 7-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Northwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against McKinney on the 23rd. As for Rockwall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Liberty on the 23rd.
