Softball Game Preview: Mendota Trojans vs. Erie Cardinals

The Mendota Trojans will head out to face off against the Erie Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Mendota has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 1.

Mendota lost 14-1 to Mercer County on Saturday.

Karson Doyle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Erie sidestepped Hall for a 4-3 victory.

Erie's win bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Mendota, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Mendota might still be hurting after the 17-1 defeat they got from Erie when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
