Basketball Game Preview: Fayette Falcons vs. Linn Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Fayette Falcons will jump right back in to play the Linn Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Fayette challenged Marshall on Thursday. Fayette fell 66-57 to Marshall. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Linn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 79-31 defeat at the hands of Hallsville. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 528th, while the Indians are ranked 64th).

Linn's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Fayette, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-14.

Fayette didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Linn when the teams last played on Friday, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory. Will Fayette repeat their success, or does Linn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
