Parrish Community extends home winning streak to five

Recap: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Lemon Bay Manta Rays

The Parrish Community Bulls entered their tilt with the Lemon Bay Manta Rays with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Parrish Community walked away with a 55-43 win over Lemon Bay on Monday. The score was all tied up 12-12 at the break, but Parrish Community was the better team in the second half.

Parrish Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malakai Cuffy led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Cuffy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Higgins, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Despite the defeat, Lemon Bay had strong showings from Cooper Benedict, who scored ten points along with six rebounds, and Elias Gambrell, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds. Caleb Whitmore was another key contributor, scoring three points along with two steals.

Parrish Community's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Allowing an average of 52.6 points per game, Imagine School at North Port has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this matchup.
