Football Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Langtree Charter Academy might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was South Rowan who claimed the real prize. The Lions took a 42-26 bruising from the Raiders. The Lions were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Nic Woolf went supernova For South Rowan., rushing for 263 yards and five scores while picking up 12.0 yards per carry. Woolf was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Langtree Charter Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for South Rowan, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Langtree Charter Academy will take on Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Rowan, they will square off against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
