Soccer Game Preview: Lake George vs. Maple Hill

The Lake George Lakers will challenge the Maple Hill Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake George will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Lake George is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Greenwich 3-2.

Lake George hit the Witches with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Piper Brown, Clara Palladino, and Mykah Collier-Fisher.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Maple Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past Schoharie 4-3. The result kept Maple Hill happy, as they haven't lost a game since October 1st.

Maple Hill's win bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Lake George, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Lake George took their win against Maple Hill in their previous matchup back in October of 2017 by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
