Basketball Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Comes Up Short

Christian Educational Consortium fought the good fight in their overtime game against North Bullitt on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the North Bullitt Eagles. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Christian Educational Consortium lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chase Williams, who posted 14 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Deven Moore, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points and three blocks.

Christian Educational Consortium's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for North Bullitt, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Educational Consortium will head out to face off against Brown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Bullitt, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Waggener at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waggener will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Bullitt surely won't give up without a fight.
