Baseball Game Preview: High Point Christian Academy Cougars vs. Aquinas Institute Little Irish

The High Point Christian Academy Cougars will face off against the Aquinas Institute Little Irish at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. High Point Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

High Point Christian Academy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Pittsford 4-3.

TY HAYES looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Aquinas Institute's offense. They came up short against North Lincoln on Wednesday, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Little Irish's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Aquinas Institute now has a losing record of 1-2. As for High Point Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
