Landon Simpson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
