Football Recap: Fannin County Comes Up Short at Home Against Gilmer + How To Watch

Fannin County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Gilmer Bobcats at home by a 42-24 margin on Friday. Rebels fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bobcats since Friday.

Nate Oneal threw for 129 yards and one touchdown. Judah Wood was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and one score.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fannin County is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Rabun County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gilmer, they will head out to challenge Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
