Softball Recap: Watervliet Cannoneers vs. Greenville Spartans
Watervliet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 21-1 to the Greenville Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Watervliet of the 21-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Watervliet saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayla Bagnardi, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Watervliet's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Greenville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
As of now, neither Watervliet nor Greenville have any future games scheduled.
