Soccer Game Preview: Sylvania vs. Douglas

The Sylvania Rams will square off against the Douglas Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Sylvania's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Douglas has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Sylvania's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over North Jackson. Considering Sylvania have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Douglas fell victim to Chelsea and their airtight defense last Friday. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Douglas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Chelsea are ranked sixth).

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Sylvania, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
