The Vista PEAK Prep Bison will square off against the Brighton Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Vista PEAK Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Vista PEAK Prep came up short against Northfield and fell 4-1. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vista PEAK Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Brancato, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, in Thursday's Canine Competition, Brighton prevailed. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Westminster on Thursday.

Blake George was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Brighton let Nick Griffin and Austin Sickler run wild. Griffin went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Sickler went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Brighton is undefeated when Griffin posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Blake Robinson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Brighton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Vista PEAK Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
