Baseball Recap: Eupora Drops Season-High Score on Sebastopol

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eupora). They came out on top against the Sebastopol Bobcats by a score of 20-15 on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Crimm, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bronnor Bingham was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases.

Eupora kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Eupora now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Sebastopol, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3.

Eupora and Sebastopol should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. Eupora will challenge Bruce at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday up 113 places (104 vs. 217). Meanwhile, Sebastopol (ranked 105th) will meet Scott Central (ranked 246th) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
