Softball Recap: Magee Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Magee was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against the Mendenhall Tigers, falling 19-1. The Trojans have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Magee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maycie Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Magee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mendenhall, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4-1.

Looking ahead, Magee will challenge Pelahatchie at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Magee has given up an average of 16.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Mendenhall, they will take on Magee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
