Baseball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Triumphs

Upper Perkiomen lost to Phoenixville back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Indians walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Phantoms.

Zane Saeger was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Upper Perkiomen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

Upper Perkiomen's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Phoenixville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Coming up, Upper Perkiomen will venture away from home to square off against Owen J. Roberts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Phoenixville, they will welcome Faith Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Phantoms' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
