Basketball Recap: IDEA Montopolis Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

IDEA Montopolis waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They managed a 63-57 victory over the IDEA Bluff Springs Bats. With that win, IDEA Montopolis brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.

IDEA Montopolis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damarion Fisher, who posted 23 points and six rebounds. Trey Sneed was another key player, putting up 18 points and six boards.

IDEA Montopolis pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for IDEA Bluff Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

IDEA Montopolis will venture away from home to square off against IDEA Kyle at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. IDEA Montopolis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully IDEA Kyle likes a good challenge. As for IDEA Bluff Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valor South Austin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Valor South Austin will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something IDEA Bluff Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
