Soccer Game Preview: Keene Central vs. Crown Point

The Keene Central Beavers will head out to challenge the Crown Point Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crown Point took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Keene Central, who comes in off a win.

Keene Central took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central as they made off with a 5-1 victory. Brayden Harmer was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Crown Point duked it out with Schroon Lake on Thursday. The Panthers lost 8-1 to the Wildcats. Crown Point were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-0.

Keene Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-8-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Crown Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Keene Central skirted past Crown Point 4-3 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
