While Evangelical Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels with a 43-38 win on Friday. The 43-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Roman Taylor, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Words, who posted seven points and five boards.

Evangelical Christian pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.

Coming up, Evangelical Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Harding Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 60-36 win against Varsity Opponent on the 6th.
