With a playoff win on the line, West Potomac rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Alexandria City Titans. That's two games straight that West Potomac have won by just one goal.

West Potomac pushed their record up to 13-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. As for Alexandria City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6-1.
