Football Recap: Kamaron Pritchard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lafayette over Cleveland Central + How To Watch

Lafayette and Cleveland Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lafayette had to settle for second. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Commodores were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Lafayette's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamaron Pritchard, who rushed for 94 yards and one score. Pritchard didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made four total tackles.

Cleveland Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Stephens Jr, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Stephens Jr has become a key player for the Wolves: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Lafayette's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cleveland Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.
