Basketball Recap: Carrollton Takes Down Buckeye Valley in a Playoff Battle

Carrollton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buckeye Valley Barons on Tuesday, sneaking past 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since December 11, 2024.

Buckeye Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ella Hazelrigg, who shot 67% from the field en route to 16 points and eight boards. That was a full 41% of Buckeye Valley's points, marking the third time in a row Hazelrigg has posted more than a third of the team's points. Tegan McMillen was another key player, putting up 13 points.
