Soccer Game Preview: St. Andrew's vs. Sanford

St. Andrew is 9-1 against Sanford since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cardinals will take on the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. St. Andrew's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Sanford's offense will have their work cut out for them.

St. Andrew's is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Sussex Academy, who was ranked second at the time (St. Andrew's was ranked first). The Cardinals walked away with a 3-1 win over the Seahawks on Saturday. That's two games straight that St. Andrew's have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Sanford was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 2-0 to St. Georges Tech. Considering the last time Sanford couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

The defeat snapped Sanford's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-3-2 record. As for St. Andrew's, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
