Baseball Recap: North East Comes Up Short

North East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Perryville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 two weeks ago.

North East's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Perryville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Looking ahead, North East will be playing at home against Bel Air at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perryville, they will square off against North County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 4.1, the Knights 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
