Chartiers Valley has gone 7-1 against Upper St. Clair recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Colts will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Chartiers Valley's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
Chartiers Valley barely beat West Allegheny the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Colts were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Indians on Monday. Considering the Colts have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Delaney O'Connor made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Duffill, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Gianna Scalise also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Chartiers Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Upper St. Clair challenged South Fayette on Monday. The Panthers took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alexa Demas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Rachel Scharrer, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Chartiers Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Upper St. Clair, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Chartiers Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Upper St. Clair when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
