Pee Dee Academy's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Carolina Academy Bobcats a 9-0 shutout. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Pee Dee Academy's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs. As for Carolina Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pee Dee Academy will take on Dillon Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Eagles 0.8, the Warriors 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Carolina Academy, they will face off against Williamsburg Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Stallions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
