Soccer Game Preview: Marlboro County vs. Loris

The Marlboro County Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Loris Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Marlboro County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Aynor on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Jackets.

Meanwhile, last TuesdayGeorgetown kept up with Loris until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Loris' defense stepped up to hand Georgetown a 3-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Marlboro County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Loris, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Marlboro County suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Loris in their previous matchup back in March of 2016. Can Marlboro County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
