Basketball Recap: Grovetown Gets the Win

Greenbrier came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Grovetown, but Asunti Porter wouldn't allow it. The Grovetown Warriors simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Greenbrier Wolfpack 60-26 thanks in part to Porter, who posted 20 points. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Passion Kimbrough was another key player, putting up eight points. Those eight points gave her a new career-high.

Grovetown's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Greenbrier, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

When Grovetown and Greenbrier next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Grovetown will try to stop Butler's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grovetown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Greenbrier will try to stop Brunswick's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
