Lampasas had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their game with ease, bagging a 52-14 win over the Fredericksburg Billies. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-7.
Lampasas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Roberts, who threw for 189 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Jaden McElwain also helped with three scores in total.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lampasas was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fredericksburg only rushed for 105 rushing yards.

Coming up, Lampasas will face off against Salado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,167 yards in their previous games. As for Fredericksburg, they will square off against Wimberley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
