Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bagdad was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williams.
Rowdy Hooper was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Anthem Prep's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Bagdad, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
