It's playoff time, and Southeast had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Bayshore Bruins 13-3 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Seminoles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Southeast got a massive performance out of Nia Civil, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Civil has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Poole, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Southeast kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Southeast's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Bayshore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Looking ahead, Southeast will take on Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seminoles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. Bayshore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
