Recap: Episcopal Maroon vs. Highland Hawks
On Thursday, Episcopal lost to Highland on the road by a decisive 56-40 margin.
Several Maroon players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malcolm Stute, who scored 15 points. Stute scored a full 37.5% of Episcopal's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davian King, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds.
Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Highland, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Episcopal won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Christopher's at 3:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Highland, they will square off against Grace Brethren Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Grace Brethren Christian is ranked 23rd in Maryland, while Highland is ranked 48th in Virginia).
